Some folks have contacted us and asked us why we don't advertise having raw milk for sale. Well, Illinois laws and rules allow the sales of raw milk provided a customer comes to the farm with their own container. It does NOT allow the advertisement of raw milk sales. Others have asked us why we don't bottle our milk and sell it off the farm. That requires a whole lot of hoops to get the licensing and inspections. It also requires a lot of equipment to pasturize and bottle the milk, thus defeating the raw milk concept as well. We've also been asked if we'll start making cheese. Again, another huge bunch of issues to take care of. Here at Spring Valley Farm we simply don't have the time to set up a bottling operation nor a cheese plant, although we have been asked to provide the raw milk to a company out in Chicago area that is looking to start up a cheese plant!
Meats
We are taking orders for our beef, chickens and pork. Please contact us to place your order. Orders will be filled this fall when they reach butcher weight. As we do not have a 'brokers' license, we can only sell 'live' animals, not 'meat'. Therefore these prices are based on live weight and and our butcher will contact you as to how you want your 'meat' processed. You will then pay them for the butchering and packaging of your 'animal'. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact us.

Eggs
Our eggs are non-certified organic. Our chickens are fed feed grown and ground here on our farm. They are free range, meaning that they get to run free to eat naturally as well. They come back to the chicken coop to roost at dusk. Our eggs are on a first-come-first-served basis unless you call us for a special order.

Honey and Other Farm Products
We have three hives on the farm which help to polinate our crops. During the year we have extras from our gardens as well. We'll try to do our best to keep it updated as products are available.
